Good News!

I'm getting rehired full time again!
And I have five weddings coming up that I'm SO excited about! One is in Chicago and my ticket is booked! I've never been to Chicago before, so that should be really fun.
Two of the others are back to back and in NY, so I'll hopefully be going up for those.
And the last two are in my hometown, which should be fun. =)
Other than that, not too much going on over here.
I've been thinking about starting a vlog on youtube for the past two and a half years, but I don't think anyone would watch it. I don't think I'm interesting enough to hold peoples' attention for that long.
I mean, I get bored after short spurts of everything else in life, what makes me think I'd be able to keep that up for a while? Hm.
On a side note, I walked to work today, which according to Google Maps was 1.8 miles and should have taken 35 minutes. I left the house at 10:15, stopped for about 5 minutes to scratch out our address on cardboard boxes in our recycling, and then went on my merry way. I had to cross a major intersection that took about 10 minutes because the light wouldn't change. Plus the other streets I had to cross and wait for traffic. And I got to work at about 11:03. Not too bad, if I do say so myself!
Ironically, my dad's work is sort of on my route to where I work, he took a bus and left after me, and while I was walking, I saw him walking from the bus stop to the building.
That means that I was walking about as fast as the bus drove. XD
I just think that's funny. ;)
So, other than THAT.... really nothing.

What's The Opposite of "UPdate"? DOWNdate?

I hear songs all the time about life being compared to a roller coaster - it goes up, and it comes down, then it goes up again, then comes down again....
Though, there must be other things in life that go up and down, too. Maybe I'll write a song about life being compared to a yoyo... or a lava lamp! =)

Anywho, here are the recent ups and downs:
UP - I got a job! But you already knew that.
DOWN - 2 months into the job, I got laid off. =(
UP - I got rehired by the same guy who laid me off. (Talk about irony.) Though it's mostly contract work and not real in-office hours.
DOWN - My mom's best friend's granddaughter has been having major stomach problems and the doctors haven't been able to figure it out. That effects me, because we're really close with them and sometimes watch this girl.
UP - My grandparents just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and had a big, cute party. And my grandmother flew my brother in so that he could attend. Talk about MAJOR surprises!
DOWN - My gay uncle thinks that we hate him and his partner and wasn't the most civil with us at the party. Oh, and he was the MC.
UP - I got two other freelance jobs to bring in a little income. =)
DOWN - While I was looking for new work, I had an interview for a secretarial position. Still haven't heard back from them. It's been two weeks. =\
UP - My family's going down to Miami, Florida for about a week and a half!
DOWN - One of my closest friends lives in Daytona. About 4 hours away. Don't think we'll get to see each other. =(
UP - More of my friends are getting engaged and married!
DOWN - I don't know if I have the money to fly out for their weddings. =(
UP - While working at my first job I made a little over $1000!
DOWN - Had to spend a lot of it on new clothes so that I look professional in the workplace. =|
UP - My sister's out of school on Spring break, so she's home to help out more. Not that she really does, but it doesn't all fall on me now. =)
DOWN - I had to send my computer away to the Geek Squad to be checked out 'cause it was giving me issues.

Other than that.... I really can't think of anything new or interesting in my life. I'm SO boring! lol
So... yoyo? lava lamp? bungee chord? What's YOUR life like?

Major Update

Well, as you can tell by the lack of blogs (which there weren't many of to begin with, but still...), I've been very busy lately.
I never came back to tell you all(?) that I got the job!!!!!!
Yes, it's super exciting for me. =)
As of tomorrow, I will have worked there exactly 7 weeks. ;D
It's been a crazy whirlwind of action since I started there, and the office (just like any other, I presume) has some big politics, but since I came late, I can sort of just skate by. And it's been great! It really has.
Other than that, I helped plan a friend's bridal shower, have paid off my credit card, and am now going to start looking into drivers ed classes.
Yeah, I know, a 21 year old who has never even gotten her permit. Kinda' sad. But hey, I just never had the money, and you do what you can.
So, that's pretty much all that's being going on in my life up until this point.
Sure, there have been other little things on the side, but those are the highlights.
